Welcome to the St Peter's Parish, Surry Hills Website. The site is the latest addition to the parish's vastly expanding network of communications. This online tool will provide up-to-date information on upcoming events both in the parish and around Sydney, and convey the Catholic message to the archdiocese and beyond.

The parish exists in a village of pubs not far from the restaurant strip on Crown Street. The Church is a short distance from Central railway station. Just take the Devonshire street exit from Central railway on the southern end of the platform and make your way up Devonshire Street towards Crown street.

The parish was established in 1880 and has a proud and prominent history within both the local community and in the Archdiocese of Sydney. In more recent years, however, the parish has expanded its network to more far-reaching places such as Madrid and Mt. Hagen in Papua New Guinea, thanks to the generous sponsorship of parish priest Fr Bill Milsted and the fundraising efforts within the parish itself.

Regular Mass and Confession times, a full choir for the 10:30am Sunday Mass, coffee and refreshments immediately after Mass and Evangelium (see SPYN young adults group) at midday on Sunday, are just some of the great features the parish has to offer. And so, St Peter's parish in Surry Hills warmly invites you all to share in the high point of our week which is the 10:30am holy worship of the Mass and effervescent community activities afterwards in the parish courtyard at 235 Devonshire Street, Surry Hills.
